We were established in 1926 as a village blacksmith and a manufacturer of sports toboggans/sleds (hence the polar bear logo).
When Denmark experienced a building boom, due to the establishment of the welfare state in the early 1930s, we used our metalwork skills to develop what was to become the largest brand of masonry and bricklaying tools in Denmark.
The hardening furnace and the mechanical forging hammer from back then are still in use, and the iTOOLS trowels are still largely handmade; a process in which a skilled worker touches the product 22 times before the finished tool leaves the factory.
Something very special about the trowels from iTOOLS is the conical grinding, where the steel is ground thinner towards the tip, so that the blade has give. The steel itself comes from a French rolling mill in Grenoble, while the wooden handles are sourced in the Danish forests.
iTOOLS has 48 employees, and we are the only remaining company manufacturing bricklaying tools in Scandinavia.
